Ankara and Riyadh will form a joint group to look into Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi's disappearance in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, Al Jaeera reported on Thursday quoting Turkey's official news agency Anadolu.
US President Donald Trump said the authorities were getting closer to understanding the disappearance of Khashoggi."I have to find out what happened...and we're probably getting closer than you might think," Trump said in an interview on the Fox News' 'Fox & Friends' programme.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has intensified pressure on Riyadh over the incident, saying Ankara"cannot remain silent to such an incident".
