"Aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030, the College of Pharmacy is exerting extensive efforts in building and developing human capacity. This is highly reflected in our students scooping 10 out of 12 well-deserved awards during the 64th International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation World Congress hosted in Argentina. Besides their hard work, this only reflects on the quality of education and self-enhancement they receive at the College. We are very proud of our students and of this great achievement that will ring through the history of the College," said QU-CPH Dean Dr Mohammad Diab.
Talking about their experience in Argentina, Iqrah said the competition made her realise the competitive skills they have acquired from their years in QU-CPH.
"Being part of the IPSF conference is a great honour for me. Meeting people from diverse culture and backgrounds and sharing our expertise in the field of pharmacy widened our scope of what and how the field of pharmacy was practised all around the world. The competition made me realise the skills, knowledge and expertise I have learned and developed since day one at the College. Taking part in competitions and winning were a dream come true as I not only made the College of Pharmacy and the Qatar University proud but also my country Qatar," she said.
Another member of the team, Ikram, said,"Our IPSF was an enriching experience that made us realise the high quality of education we are provided in Qatar University College of Pharmacy."
Sara Aldali added,"The IPSF helps young students to get motivated, hear inspirational talks and meet their professional goal. I had the chance to apply my knowledge, share my expertise and come back refreshed with new ideas and perspectives."
Sara Thiab shared,"We absolutely took over all sorts of competitions at the IPSF. This shows how prestigious the education we receive is and the quality of our international standards."
Dr Alla El-Awaisi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at QU, praised the accomplishments of the four representatives of the University. The team took home a total of 10 awards from the Congress.
"It was a remarkable achievement and wonderful recognition at an international and global event and I was very proud and privileged to be with the students and witness it. It is a testament of our strong programme delivered by our highly capable faculty members to our excellent and exceptional students to reach their potential and excel. And succeed in their programme and professional careers in pharmacy later on," Dr El-Awaisi said.
