Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, the Ministry of Energy and Industry will on Thursday honour the owners of factories who expanded their industrial activities after the unjust siege was imposed on Qatar.
The event will honour owners of 45 factories that doubled their production of vital goods during the siege period and helped in meeting the needs of the local market.
The honouring ceremony also aims to encourage businessmen and investors to increase production capacity in order to achieve self-sufficiency in different industries.
It will include the inauguration of the Qatar industrial portal which will allow decision-makers, investors and individuals to access accurate information about factories along all aspects of industrial activity in the country.
The ceremony will be attended by a number of senior officials from different institutions who have a role in the industry and investment sectors.
