SILATECH, in cooperation with its governmental and non-governmental partners, has been able to provide one million jobs for needy youth in more than 16 countries since its establishment in 2008.
This came during a presentation by Executive Director of Silatech Faisal al Emadi, at the eighth session of the Global Donors Forum in London, entitled 'Building Resilient Ecosystems with Philanthropic Response to Inequality and Societal Tensions'.
The forum saw a wide participation of representatives from governments, financial institutions and academics, charity counsellors, humanitarian and relief organisations and others.
Emadi gave a brief overview of Silatech and its journey. He said that Silatech was working closely with its partners from government and non-governmental organisations as well as multilateral and bilateral organisations to mobilise co-financing for the implementation of large-scale employment programmes.
