Qatari investments in Jordan providing an important prop to the national economy, Jordan's Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh has said.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian minister said the Qatari authorities are interested in implementing projects in the tourism and energy sectors in the kingdom.
He praised the distinguished relations between Amman and Doha which must be tapped to bring more economic and trade benefits to the Jordanian and Qatari people.
He said the two sides are discussing ideas and projects in the transport and health sectors and are currently preparing a package of available projects in these two sectors.
In June, Qatar pledged support to Jordan by providing 10,000 jobs for Jordanians in the country, as well as a package of investments targeting infrastructure projects worth $500 million.
