Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani visited Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) on Sunday.
During the visit, the PM was briefed about QCAA's strategic plans for the civil aviation sector to serve the objectives and aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030, keep pace with the level of growth witnessed in all sectors of the national economy, and secure the needs of the upcoming stage.
The PM was also briefed about the efforts of the Civil Aviation Authority to provide a safe, efficient and flexible flight system, develop contingency plans and seek further growth and development in the aviation industry in Qatar.
The PM stressed the important role of the Civil Aviation Authority in the field of air transport, security and safety of civil aviation.
"Having reviewed their current and future plans, I am pleased to see Qatar's Civil Aviation Authority @CAAQATAR continuing to successfully develop and progress Qatar's air transport sector, despite any challenges it may face ” including the blockade of Qatar," the PM said on Twitter.
The Prime Minister was accompanied during the visit by Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim bin Saif al Sulaiti, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority HE Abdullah bin Nasser Turki al Subaey and a number of senior officials at the Civil Aviation Authority.
