Come Friday (July 13) and all roads will lead to Intercontinental Doha The City where celebrity artistes from Ugandan will set the stage on fire with their scintillating performances at an event that is expected to draw a huge number of people, especially Africans.
Fun lovers should put on their dancing shoes as Fik Fameica (Shafic Walukagga) and Geosteady (Kigozi George William) will entertain fun lovers at the highly electrified event. Qatar-based Ugandan DJ Swalez and DJ Rex will warm up the crowd in the run-up to the session.
Organised by Mulongo Events, the event will see people entertained with Hip Hop, RnB and African music, among others.
CEO of Mulongo Events, Mohammad Wasswa, said Fik Fameica will thrill the audience with Hip Hop while Geosteady with RnB."We decided to bring these artistes to Qatar because they are the most popular artistes, the top guns in Uganda's world of entertainment."
He said that he expected large numbers of Africans in attendance at the event because the two artistes are very popular amongst the African communities."We are expecting many Kenyans at the show. Fik Fameica was in Kenya recently and many people are fond of him now. We are also expecting many South Africans because Fik Fameica has a song, 'Mafia Remix' with South African Cassper Noyvest. He also has a collabo with Wiz Kid which is still in the studio."
According to Wasswa, a large number of Nigerians are also expected to attend the show."Geosteady has done a collabo with Nigerian superstar, Korede Bello. The song is called, 'I'm into you."
This would be the first time Fik Fameica would be performing in Qatar. Geosteady performed in Qatar last year.
Talking about the Qatar-based Ugandan deejays, Wasswa, said that they are good at thrilling the crowd."They are renowned artistes in Qatar. They perform at Horizon Manor and Hilton hotels," he said.
Wasswa said that this event is expected to bring together many Ugandans."Many Nigerians take long to come together to have fun. Others live outside Doha therefore this event will bring them to have fun together. This will help them beat homesickness."
Talking about why they decided to organise this event, Wasswa said,"Many Ugandans are used to these kinds of shows back home. This show will make them feel as though they are in their homeland which will help them overcome homesickness. This will be a great opportunity for them to come together and get entertained by top-class artistes."
