QATAR Financial Centre (QFC), one of the world's leading and fastest-growing onshore business and financial centres, recently organised a football workshop for Mind Institute Special Needs Centre's children.
The workshop, held at Mind Institute, was part of QFC's 'One Family' initiative and 'Road to Humanity' Ramadan campaign, which aim to enhance skills within the community while empowering and uplifting the community's spirit.
During the workshop, a number of QFC Authority employees, who are skilled football players, engaged with the children and taught them about the basic football techniques as they played together and had fun. The children showed great enthusiasm to participate in this great sport and see their football skills improve.
Sarah al Dorani, acting chief marketing & corporate communications officer, QFC Authority, stated:"At QFC, we believe that we are one community and it is our responsibility to help others and share our talents for a stronger society." Dorani continued:"It was a heartwarming experience for our staff to exchange their football skills with Mind Institute children and witness their joy as they scored goals."
On her part Manal Hassiba, director of Mind Institute Special Needs Centre, stated:"It was a pleasure to host the QFC team for this heart-warming initiative. QFC sets an example for businesses in the community to support, nurture and engage children of all abilities in Qatar. By working collaboratively with QFC on initiatives like 'One Family', we are further strengthening and promoting our core value of inclusivity in Qatar's society."

One of the CSR's main pillars at QFC is community development that entails focusing on the inclusion of all members of society.
