The first Qatar Airways direct non-stop flight from Doha to Malaga touched down at Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport where it was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute on Wednesday.
The flight was greeted by Qatar Airways Country Manager Iberian Peninsula Marimar Laveda and M'e1laga Airport Director Salvador Merino.
Malaga is a beautiful and cosmopolitan city nestled along Spain'b4s Costa del Sol in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. The charming coastal city is known for its magnificent climate all year round. M'e1laga offers a wide variety of activities for visitors to enjoy, such as exploring the historic Roman fort, basking on one of M'e1laga's wonderful Mediterranean beaches or visiting one of its many museums.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar al Baker said,"We are truly delighted to launch direct services to Malaga, the jewel of the Costa del Sol and our third Spanish gateway. Qatar Airways' new four-time weekly seasonal services to Malaga will be served with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner until September 16, 2018. Qatar Airways currently operates direct double-daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona.
The four weekly seasonal flights to Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class. Passengers on board will be able to enjoy the airline'b4s superior entertainment system, Oryx One, offering up to 4,000 entertainment options to choose from. (TNN)
