THE Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani issued on Tuesday Amiri Decision No 46 of 2018 appointing Saad Abdullah Saad al Mahmoud al Shareef as ambassador to Australia.
HH the Amir also issued Decision No 47 appointing Saud Abdullah Zaid al Mahmoud as ambassador to Canada. The decisions are effective from the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
Meanwhile, HH the Amir issued Decree No 33 of 2018, ratifying an agreement between Qatar and Singapore on encouraging and protecting mutual investments. The agreement was signed in Singapore on October 17, 2017.
HH the Amir also issued Decree No 34 of 2018, ratifying a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Qatar's Legal and Judicial Studies Centre and Singapore Academy of Law. The ratifications are annexed to the respective decrees and will have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.
The decrees are effective from their date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
HH the Amir also issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft air transport agreement between Qatar and Belgium signed in Brussels on March 6, 2018.HH the Amir then issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft air services agreement between Qatar and Panama, which was signed in Doha on April 10, 2018.
HH the Amir issued an instrument of ratification endorsing a memorandum of understanding on holding a political dialogue on issues of mutual concern between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, signed in Doha on 2/8/2017.
HH the Amir issued instruments of ratification approving a draft industrial cooperation agreement and another agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion with regard to income taxes and the protocol thereto between Qatar and Morocco, which were signed in Marrakech on December 27, 2013.
HH the Amir also issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft MoU between Qatar and Morocco on the mutual recognition of certificates in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, which was signed in Rabat on March 11, 2014.
HH the Amir then issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of social development between Qatar and Morocco, signed in Rabat on March 11, 2014.
Furthermore, HH the Amir issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft MoUfor cooperation in the field of farming between Qatar and Morocco, which was signed in Rabat on March 12, 2018.
