New York Hundreds of women sexually abused by disgraced gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar have tentatively agreed to a $500 million settlement with Michigan State University, Nassar's former employer, attorneys for both sides said on Wednesday. The deal calls for the school to pay $425 million to the 332 victims represented in current litigation, with another $75 million set aside in a trust fund which could go to future plaintiffs who allege they were abused by Nassar, the attorneys said in a joint statement. The sexual abuse settlement appears to be one of the largest of its kind, reflecting the sheer number of victims. (Reuters)
