Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani received a telephone call from Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.
During the phone call, the two sides discussed the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the arrangements of the emergency Islamic summit to be held to discuss the repercussions of these attacks and the Israeli crimes and the transfer of the US embassy to the holy city of Jerusalem.
They also stressed the need to coordinate efforts by the two countries to stop these attacks and to protect the Palestinian people.
They stressed that the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem will threaten the region's stability and international peace and security.
The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for an extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday in response to the killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Erdogan said the meeting of OIC leaders would take place on Friday in Istanbul.
On Tuesday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas recalled the Palestinian envoy to Washington.
