Mohammed Eliyan has bagged the first place while Abdulla Gamil secured second place in the local edition of the 'Get In The Ring' competition, which qualified them to the finals taking place in Portugal, in May 2018.
Eliyan was able to overcome competitors with his project 'Savest', a smart safety vest designed for construction workers in various sectors by monitoring their vital signs through a chip implanted in their vests.
For Gamil, his project 'Mino' which reduces time for ordering food through a mobile app without the need for waitresses at dine-in restaurants, secured him the second post in the competition.
Commenting on the contest, Reem al Suwaidi, general manager of Bedaya Center, said:"Year after year, entrepreneurs surprise us with their creative ideas and innovative projects which allow them to compete against one another in one of the most important global competitions designed and dedicated for them."
