HAMAD Medical Corporation (HMC) will participate in the 19th Annual Forum of the Arab Hospitals Federation in Muscat, Oman next week.
Held under the patronage of Omani Health Minister HE Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Saidi, the two-day event is expected to be attended by hundreds of representatives from the region's healthcare sector.
The theme for this year's event is 'Partnering to Develop the Healthcare Sector'. The forum, taking place on April 29 and 30, is expected to emphasise the need for the region's healthcare stakeholders to work together.
A delegation from HMC is attending the forum at the invitation of the Arab Hospitals Federation. This will be the healthcare provider's 10th consecutive year of participation.
Chief Communications Officer and Ministry of Public Health's Healthcare Communications Committee Chair Ali Abdullah al Khater is leading HMC's delegation and said the forum provides an important platform for regional stakeholders to highlight developments in the healthcare sector while also exploring opportunities for collaboration.
"Participating in this annual event is an important part of HMC's strategy for remaining up-to-date with regional and global health sector developments. HMC's participation provides an opportunity to highlight the latest health-related developments in Qatar on a regional stage and allows us to share our experiences and successes. It also provides an opportunity to highlight our focus on training, education, and clinical service improvements, including our successful transformation into the first Academic Health System within the Middle East and North Africa region," said Khater.
The MedHealth forum is organised each year by the Arab Hospitals Federation with the aim of familiarising attendees with the latest developments in the healthcare sector.
