A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a voter registration centre in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, killing at least 57 people and injuring more than 100, in the most serious attack yet on preparations for elections scheduled for October.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, saying a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt had targeted the centre.
Voter registration began this month for legislative elections which are due to take place in October.
