THE schools' evaluation department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued the 13th annual education report for schools in the State of Qatar featuring quantitative data and information on a number of important aspects of education in Qatar for the academic year 2016-2017 in addition to comparative data covering the academic years 2015 to 2017.
Director of the department of schools' evaluation at the Ministry Omar al Neima noted that the education report provides a quantitative vision of the positive reality of education in Qatar as it includes specific details of most aspects related to the education system.
Neima added that the report offers updated information on schools and nurseries in the country which provides an opportunity to analyze this data and build discussions on it in order to make the appropriate decisions aiming to achieve the desired progress for Qatar's education."We aspire for the educational development that we are working on to be a true support for sustainable development in the country," he explained.
Neima stressed on the importance of nurseries being the fundamental stage of education as this year's education report involves the addition of tables and charts dedicated to indicators on nurseries for the first time. He noted that after this addition, the report is now inclusive of all educational levels in the country and gives a more comprehensive understanding of the status of education in Qatar.
The department of schools' evaluation is currently working in collaboration with the department of information technology in the Ministry in order to advance the education reports and make them electronically accessible directly after the execution of surveys and their analysis which will contribute to saving a lot of time.
