islamabad: The nation's premier anti-graft watchdog on Friday approved the initiation of a probe against former president Pervez Musharraf for abusing power and amassing assets beyond means. In a 28-point statement, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said probes would be launched against scores including sitting ministers and top bureaucrats. Lt Col Inaam Rahim had earlier moved the watchdog against the former president and recorded a statement on April 4. Rahim confirmed the development. Copies of pertinent documents are available with the media. A NAB notice sent to him read that he possessed data and evidence on Musharraf's corrupt practices. (tribune.com.pk)
