The third and final leg of exhibition in a series that followed the Qatar-US Economic Forum, began in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday.
The two-day exhibition brought together representatives from major institutions in Qatar, including the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar Airways and Qatar Foundation along with a number of US companies that have partnered in investment projects with Qatar.
While the opening-leg of the multi-city exhibition was held in Miami a few days ago, the second edition was held in Charleston, South Carolina.
Through its special pavilion at the exhibition, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce seeks to outline the characteristics of Qatar's economy. It aims to highlight the depth of the strategic Qatari-US partnership through interactive infographics that outline the fundamentals of Qatar's business environment and showcase major Qatari investments in the US. In addition, it highlights the deep-rooted ties between the US and Qatar in various fields.
The exhibition also hosts a number of pavilions dedicated to US companies that have investment partnerships in Qatar. ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, and Boeing will be among the companies that will showcase their key achievements and initiatives on social responsibility and investment projects in partnership with Qatar.
The exhibition features various educational and entertainment activities aimed at introducing the US public to Qatari culture.
The Raleigh exhibition presented Qatari private sector an opportunity to promote cooperation with their US counterparts and discuss the development of joint investment projects to the benefit of the two countries.
The Qatar Foundation's stall showcased its various programmes, projects and achievements in education, scientific research and community development. It also illustrated the sustainable cooperation between Qatar and US in education.
Qatar Airways' pavilion at the expo featured the services offered by the company to individuals and business people. It also had details about the 10 new destinations in the US to which the company began services.
The exhibition series was aimed at highlighting Qatar's cultural heritage and strong economic potential in addition to familiarising visitors with the major development projects that are being implemented to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, including projects related to hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The exhibition is part of the Qatar-US Economic Forum, which is being organised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in partnership with the Qatar Chamber, the US Chamber of Commerce, the Qatari Businessmen Association, the U.S-Qatari Business Council and a number of official US agencies. The forum, part of Qatar's multi-city Economic Mobility tour of the US, aims to bolster and expand Qatari-US trade and economic relations and provides an important platform for dialogue between businessmen from the two countries.
