QATAR will take part in Kuwait International Award for recitation and memorisation of the Holy Quran for the year 1439H (2018) at its ninth session, which begins on Tuesday and lasts until April 18.
Qatar is represented by Hamad Abdullah Tayes al Jumaili in the category of memorising the entire Holy Quran with recitation, and contestant Abdul Aziz Abdullah Ali al Hamri in the category of memorising the Holy Quran with recitation in 10 readings.
The competition,this year,will see the participation of 138 contestants from 79 countries.
The award is one of the most important Holy Quran competitions, encouraging recitations and highlighting the best Holy Quran readers in the world. (QNA)
