QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, organised various activities in collaboration with Qatar Autism Society for World Autism Awareness Day 2018 'Empowering Women and Girls with Autism'.
The second day of April, of each year, suggested by the State of Qatar and adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations, marks World Autism Awareness Day, and as part of QNB's participation in this global campaign, its head office was lit up in blue.
In addition, QNB extends its efforts to support autism patients, develop their skills and help them become a key component of the society by aiding Governmental Health Communication Center's National Autism strategy 2017-2012 in line with the aspirations of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The QNB set up a booth in Gulf Mall and handed out informative brochures about autism to the general public. QNB staff also participated in an autism puzzle holding the slogan 'Autism's voice, it is time to listen' to signify the lifelong nature of the autism disorder and its invisible characteristics, and also sending a strong message on the importance of the community coming together for support.
QNB's keenness to contribute in supporting creative disabled talents in Qatar comes in line with its diverse range of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and programs launched with the aim of aligning them with Qatar's National Vision 2030.
QNB Group's presence through its subsidiaries and associate companies extends to more than 31 countries across three continents providing a comprehensive range of advanced products and services. The total number of employees is more than 28,200 operating through more than 1,230 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,300 machines. (TNN)
