It was an awe-inspiring day for the students of Class 7 from Noble International School to enter 'Education City' and head towards the Qatar National Library (QNL). Right from the time when they stepped into the library, students were awed by the infrastructure, technology and the vast collection of books preserved at the QNL.
Having swept through the premises quickly, the students got an understanding of how the library works to borrow books, different genres and sections of books available and, most importantly, the manner in which a country can exhibit its heritage by the establishment of such an edifice.
All areas of the library were accessible, giving the students enough time and space to explore the teen section, the interactive learning multi-purpose room, self borrowing and returning systems, kiosks and gigantic smart TVs. One attraction which caught the students' attention was the largest and the most expensive world map and atlas maintained at QNL.
The students returned to school hoping to visit the library again with their parents so that they could become members in the future.
