Indian Media Forum, a forum of media persons including part-time journalists, elected office-bearers for the next two years. While Ashraff Thoonery (Malayalam daily - Middle East Chandrika) was elected as president of the forum, IMA Rafeek (Kerala Sabdam) was elected as the general secretary. Muhammed Shafeeq (Managalam daily) was elected as the treasurer of the forum, while Ahmed Pathirappatta (Suprabhatham daily) was elected vice-president and Omnakkuttan (Kairali TV) was elected as secretary.
The members included in executive committees of the forum include Ahmedkuttty (Deshabhimani), Robin George (Jeevan TV), Firoz Ahmed (Gulf Times) and Muhamed Ali (Gulf Times).
Mujeeb Arkkod, the former general secretary, presented the working report at the general body meeting, while IMA Rafeek presented the financial report. Ali Akbar (Siraj daily) was in-charge of the elections.
