THE Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani's speech at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany on Saturday has been widely praised and appreciated by Qatari citizens and public figures.
Prominent citizens took to social media to express their pride and support of the wise leader.
Director of the media office at the Ministry of Interior Ahmad bin Saeed al Rumaihi wrote on his personal Twitter account that the Emir's grand address before the elite crowd at MSC reflected Qatar's solid position globally.
"It was backed by facts and confident arguments countering the fabrications of the blockading countries."
Qatari citizen Khalid Jassim tweeted that the Emir's speech, which highlighted the region's failure in fulfilling its people's demands and consequently feeding terrorism and reducing the people's trust in their leaders, represented the perspective of the people of Qatar, the Gulf, as well as other Arab nations.
Along the same lines, Qatari engineer and vice-president of the Central Municipal Council Hamad Lahdan al Mohannadi wrote in a tweet that the triumphant speech of the Emir revolved around the interest of the people as usual and similar to the speeches of HH the Father Emir.
