Mohammad Abdul Rahman Ali Saeed al Nuaimi owned Toya Al Rowdha was the first winner on the opening day of the 8th Qatar International Arabian Peninsula Horse Show topping Class 1A for Yearling Fillies on Thursday at Qatar Foundation.
Toya Al Rowdha amassed 91.5 points for her win, with Al Rayyan Farm's Ghuwa Al Rayyan (90.4) and Jathab Arabians' Hattan Jathab (89.8) taking the second and third sport respectively.
Jathab Arabians had a win in Class 1B for Yearling Fillies with Anood Jathab topping with 90.5 points. There was a tie on points for the second spot with Al Nasser Stud's Hilalya Al Nasser and Al Shaqab's Manthoura Al Shaqab both picking up 90.3 points from the judges.
However, a half a point advantage in Type for the former, gave her the second spot with Manthoura Al Shaqab settling for third.
Nadrah Al Nasser became the first Class winner for Al Nasser Stud in the competition having collected 91.9 points for a win in Class 2A for 2yo Fillies. Abdulhadi Mana al Hajri's Mezna Bu Thaila and Al Nawasi Stud's Gharafa Al Shaqab were second and third with 91.5 and 91.3 points respectively.
In Class 2B for 2yo Fillies, El Msareer Stud's Dheba Msareer impressed the judges enough for her winning haul of 93.4 points. Al Nawasi Stud's Majda Al Waab (92.4) and Al Shaheen W's Reem Al Shaheen (91.1) also made it to the championship round.
Royal Cavalry of Oman's Basirah RC was awarded 91.9 points as she won Class 3 for 3yo Fillies. Sheikh Abdulla Bin Nasser al Ahmed al Thani's Al Jood Al Naif was second with 91.4 points, while Mansoor Masoud Almarri's Garam Al Farres was third with 91.1 points.
