The government services complex in Onaiza area carries out more than 20,000 transactions a month, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said.
The complex supervised by the Unified Services Department of the MoI, is one of the largest services centres in terms of coverage of area, number of users and services provided to them.
The complex was built as part of the government's plan to provide services to citizens and residents in the area in which they reside.
The complex provides all governmental services, including that of the General Administration of Passports, the General Directorate of Traffic, fingerprinting services, passports and travel documents as well as services for the elderly and people with special needs.
Major Ali Ahmad al Obaidli, head of Onaiza Services Complex, said that the complex covers a large geographical area covering the southern and northern city of Khalifa, Al-Duhail, Al-Dafna and Bin Omran areas and also receives visitors from other areas.
He added that the service complex provides all government services, in addition to the services of the MoI.
It includes seven governmental bodies represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, as well as Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation 'Kahramaa'.
The complex is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
