DPS Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) faculty member Somasundaram Narayanan attended a 5-week workshop on 'Running and Coaching a Debate Club' organised by Qatar Debate. The workshop focused on inventive ideas and procedures in running a debate club in schools effectively. It was regulated by M Abdur Rehman.
Debate coaches and coordinators from different preparatory and secondary schools in Qatar took part in the workshop. Establishing the debate club, training debate format, public speaking, critical thinking, presenting cases and arguments and refutation were among the subjects tackled. Certificates were given to all participants.
