US to hold talks with Qatar, UAE over airline row

New York The US State Department intends to hold"informal, technical discussions" with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month about a dispute over Gulf airlines' funding and access to the US market, according to people familiar with the matter. Talks with the UAE are planned for July 18 and 19 and with Qatar on July 25."Our perspective is this is a good development," said one person with knowledge of the thinking of the largest US carriers, reports Wall Street Journal.
