Mahaseel Souq will open to shoppers and visitors in the southern part of Katara on Thursday.
The souq will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 10pm until March.
The market offeres different types of fresh local vegetables, flowers and decorative plants, food products related to livestock and the best of natural honey produced by Qatari farms and local dates.
A total of 22 Qatari farms and six major national companies specialising in producing and selling sheep meat, poultry, eggs, dairy products and natural juices have been participating in the souq.
The resumption of Mahaseel Souq comes as part of Katara's efforts to support the agriculture and livestock sector and encourage Qatari farm owners, in addition to promoting local products by providing a marketing platform.
The second Mahaseel festival, which ended last Saturday, was a big success with diverse activities and exhibits.
