Highlighting the rich cultural tradition, sovereignty and unity of the country, Qatar Postal Services Company (Q-Post) on Thursday unveiled two postal stamps ahead of the Qatar National Day (QND).
While one stamp was released in the memory of the founder of Qatar HH Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed al Thani bearing patriotic verses in Arabic hailing his great leadership, the other was dedicated to the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani who made Qatar a modern and fast-growing country.
The new stamps, 10,000 each of which were printed, will be made available at post offices. Measuring 50X36 mm, each stamp will be of QR10 denomination.
Q-Post Chairman and Managing Director Faleh Mohammed al Naemi said,"The two stamps launched today depict the contribution and farsighted vision of the two great leaders who made the country a modern one. It also highlights the sovereignty, unity and cultural tradition of the country."
"All the process of the stamp design including lithography offset printing has been completed within three weeks," Abdellatif Zaian, designer of the stamp, told Qatar Tribune.
The event was attended by senior Q-Post officials and Ibrahim Ahmed al Neama, Chairman of Ibrahim al Neama & Sons Holdings.
