InterContinental Doha recently hosted a familiarisation trip of Qatar for North Asia. Organised by Discover Qatar, a subsidiary destination manager company of Qatar Airways, the familiarisation trip saw 100 leading trade partners from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan working closely with local hotels and authorities, including Qatar Tourism Authority in positioning Qatar as an emerging stop-over and holiday destination in the North-Asian marketplace.
InterContinental Doha partnered Discover Qatar in hosting the delegation and showing them the hotel's new facilities such as the new Club InterContinental, rooms and suites.
The delegation also took part in various activities during their stay in Doha, including a trade workshop at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, desert safari, a visit to some of the stadiums which will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, as well as visits to renowned attractions including the Katara Cultural Village and Museum of Islamic Art.
