Middle East International School attempts to create international experiences for its students by collaborating with sister-schools in other countries. This year, the focus has been on establishing a relationship with the Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School (SFLS) in Shijiazhuang, China. A relationship with sister-school SFLS allows students and staff to travel to China, stay with host families and expand their international experiences. The school believes in providing its students learning at high levels to be competitive in the international community for which it is essential for students to interact with others around the world.
In October, Salem Rashid Thani al Mohandi and Dr Sue Borden attended the GERA Conference in Shijiazhuang, China. The purpose of the conference was to bring the many sister schools of SFLS together in a meaningful way to share best practices in education. Also, during the visit to China, Mohandi signed the official sister school agreement.
Middle East International School hopes to continue building opportunities abroad for students so that students can grow their international perspective.
