Qatar Foundation (QF) will celebrate Qatar National Day by hosting a tent at Darb Al Saai, from December 9 to 20.
The QF tent will be centred around the QF timeline, where visitors will be given the opportunity to learn about QF through its immersive 'globe' activity, record wishes and memories on the dedicated 'pledge wall' and nominate individuals who best embody the four morals of its Akhlaquna initiative mercy, tolerance, honesty and generosity.
Additionally, QF will host fun activities based on Siraj, its 3D educational TV series which aims to instil a love of the Arabic language and its popular National Reading Campaign, which promotes a passion for reading among young people.
Mayan Zebeib, chief communications officer at QF, said:"Qatar National Day is an opportunity for us, as a nation, to come together, to reflect on our accomplishments, the challenges we've had to overcome, and, most importantly, look ahead to the future."
A number of QF centres and partner universities are also set to host activities at the QF tent. They include Qatar Green Building Council, which will offer a range of sustainability games and recycling activities; Qatar Music Academy, where students will hold performances; Qatar National Library, which will give visitors the opportunity to register and receive their library membership cards; and Qatar Debate, which will organise live debates on stage.
The QF tent will be open from 8am to 12pm and 4pm to 10pm from Saturday to Thursday, while on Fridays it will be open from 2pm. (TNN)
