A series of protests were held on Thursday in Jordan and Tunisia against US President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Students and academics gathered in several Jordanian universities chanting~slogans emphasising the"Arab and Islamic identity" of Jerusalem, Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad reported online.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people took to the streets in the Tunisian capital Tunis and other parts of the country in protest.
They waved the Palestinian flag and raised placards showing Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third-holiest site, local witnesses said.
