The Environmental Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), in cooperation with the Municipal and Environmental Studies Center is hosting a specialised training course on environmental statistics and indicators.
To conclude on Thursday (today), the course is being attended by about 20 trainees from the Environmental Monitoring Department as well as other concerned departments at the MME.
Besides, the Parks Section at the Services Affairs Department at Al Daayen Municipality organised a workshop on 'The importance of tree from an environmental and economic point of view' with the participation of Leabaib Primary School for Girls.
The workshop is part from the keenness of the MME represented by Al Daayen Municipality on involving schools in projects to increase green spaces within and outside schools.
The workshop was attended by 54 students of the school with a focus on the important role of tree from the environmental aspects.
In addition, Head of the Health Control Section at Al Wakra Municipality Hamad al Sheikh recently received a number of students from Hassan Bin Thabit Secondary Independent School during a visit to the municipality.
The students were educated on some services provided by the municipality.
