THE Cabinet at its weekly meeting held at Emiri Diwan and chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani on Wednesday, reviewed the recommendations of the Advisory Council on the draft law on the State Budget for the fiscal year 2018 and took the required measures to issue it.
The Cabinet also approved a draft decision of HE the Minister of Economy and Trade amending certain provisions of Decision No 242 of 2017, regarding the terms, controls and procedures of granting temporary licenses to places where commercial, industrial, public works and domestic businesses take place.
The Cabinet approved the validity of the provisions of Law No 24 of 2002 regarding retirement and pensions on Qatari employees in some entities.
Besides, the Cabinet reviewed and took necessary measures on the Ministry of Economy and Commerce's report on a draft decision to amend the specialisation of some of the administrative units at the Ministry.
The Cabinet also reviewed and took the required measures regarding the MEC's report on amending some provisions of Decision No 134 of 2017 concerning the establishment of sections in the administrative units and defining their works.
Furthermore, the Cabinet reviewed and took the required measures on the report of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce on Qatar's participation in EXPO 2017, in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Hassan bin Lahdan al Hassan al Mohannadi said that the Cabinet praised at the outset of its meeting the commitment of the Emir of Kuwait HH Sheikh Sabah al Ahmed al Jaber al Sabah to the unity of the GCC.
