A HILARIOUS play Qatari 60% had the audience splitting their sides with laughter at Qatar National Theater on Sunday. The play is written by poets Abdulrahim al Siddiqi and Tayseer Abdullah, and produced by Falih Fayez. The play is the fourth theatrical.

Qtel volunteers distribute gifts to celebrate Eid
QTEL is celebrating Eid al Fitr with its team of Refaq volunteers distributing gifts in residential neighbourhoods across communities. The Refaq volunteers have set up 10 tents in various area, where they serve traditional Eid delicacies, including coffee, karak and sweets. The volunteers will visit different areas, providing sweets and gifts to children. The areas include the Old Airport, Al Wukair, Izgawa, Ain Khalid, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Bin Imran, Al Hilal, Muaither and Al Dafna. The volunteers will also be distributing a series of greeting cards designed in a special competition held during the holy month of Ramadan. THE Al Shaheen offshore oil field in Qatar, located in the north of Doha, has become a site of a ground breaking research ´Qatar Whale Shark Research Project´ dedicated to studying whale sharks in the Arabian Gulf. The Qatar Whale Shark Research Project is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and Maersk Oil Research and Technology Centre (MO-RTC) with the objective of establishing a long-term monitoring programme that can provide pioneering information about the population and ecology of the world´s largest fish.
