exercise to
avoid diabetes,
says SCH official | PEOPLE living with diabetes
should take part in regular
physical exercises for better
blood sugar control and
reduction of the risk of cardiovascular
diseases,
advised Dr Sheikh
Mohamed al Thani of the
Supreme Council of Health
(SCH).
He said, "Exercise is very
important in managing diabetes.
Combination of good
diet, exercise and prescribed
medicine can help control
weight and blood sugar
level."
Dr Thani, however, urged
people with diabetes to consult
a doctor before starting
any form of exercise.
"Before people with diabetes
begin an exercise programme,
they should check
with their healthcare
provider in order to know
the kind of exercise they can
do and adjustments that
can be made to their medicine

Network (Q.NBN) recently
supported Qatar Charity´s
iftar banquets.
The banquets aimed at
offering free iftar meals for
the less privileged during the
holy month of Ramadan.
Q.NBN CEO Mohammed
al Mannai said, "The holy
month of Ramadan entails
the spirit of giving to the less
fortunate. For this reason, we
have joined hands with Qatar
Charity in order to reach out
to people from different
walks of our community.
"This endeavour is in line

Stadium hosted the finals of
the QSports Ramadan competition
with several men´s and
women´s teams being rewarded
for their success in a variety
of tournaments that have
been run by QSports during
the holy month of Ramadan.
Trophies and medals were
presented to the champions,
runners up and third place
teams who participated in
basketball, volleyball, cricket
and soccer leagues.
TNT Dynamite were
declared women´s basketball
champions, ILoveQatar.Net
won the women´s volleyball
final while the men´s volleyball
league was won by the
AirMasters.
Pindi Express were
crowned cricket champions
before the final game of the
night saw FC Carthage take on
