Syrian army launches massive assault in Aleppo

Barwa Bank H1 net profit up 52%
BARWA Bank has reported a 278 percent rise in net income and 52 percent rise in profit. Announcing the sharp increase in revenues and profits, the bank said in a statement on Saturday that net income increased to QR344 million, up 278 percent compared with the first half of 2011 (QR90.9 million) while net profits rose by 52 percent.
