City Center reopens

MIA receives excellence award
THE Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), one of Doha´s most popular tourist destinations, has received a certificate of excellence from web-based reviewing platform TripAdvisor, which recognised the museum for earning exceptional traveller ratings. According to a release issued by the Qatar Museums Authority on Monday, the MIA received TripAdvisor 2012 certificate of excellence with a rating of 4.5. 31 killed as Syrian army pounds Homs, Qusayr
SYRIA’S army pounded besieged rebel-held areas of Homs on Monday, monitors said, as troops also shocked Qusayr residents with a morning bombardment and 31 people were killed across the country. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that of those killed, 16 were civilians, 11 were regime troops and four were rebels.
