| | Victories for Al Shaqab
Endurance Team in Corlay | AL SHAQAB Endurance
Team has pulled off more victories
in Corlay, north-western
France with winning
important races, CEI 160 Km

Saad al Dawsari and his
horse Ourasi De L´aigoul
came out victorious in the 160
Km event in 11 hours and 17
minutes with an average
speed of 14 kms per hour. In
the first three loops, Dawsari
and L´aigoual were lagging
behind at the fourth place.
However, they left behind
everyone and finished as
champions in the particular
event.
Dawsari has been a part of
the Al Shaqab team for a couple
of years and has always
come out with flying colours.
With one more feather to his
cap after this win, he could be
one of the riders participating

A FEW months ago, Harry
Redknapp beat tax evasion
charges and was a leading
candidate to coach England
with Tottenham playing
arguably the most stylish football
in the country. Now he is
unemployed.
That reversal of fortunes
was confirmed when Spurs
fired the 65-year-old
Englishman on Thursday,
ending his reign at White Hart
Lane after nearly four seasons
in charge and with a year left
on his contract.
Redknapp looks to have
paid the price for Tottenham´s
failure to qualify for the lucrative
Champions League, a collapse
in form ensuring the
team won only three of its last
13 Premier League matches.
He had been keen to extend
his contract but the club told
Redknapp that it wanted to go
in a different direction.

Gomez is Germany´s version
of Didier Drogba, midfielder
Bastian Schweinsteiger said
Thursday after the Bayern
Munich star took his tally to
three goals at Euro 2012.
Having netted with a
header against Portugal on
Saturday in Germany´s
opening Group B win,
Gomez underlined his current
form with two welltaken
first-half goals in
Wednesday´s 2-1 win over
Holland.
The two victories leave
Germany top of Group B and
on course to reach next
week´s quarter-finals as a
point against Denmark on
Sunday in Lviv, Ukraine, will
guarantee the Germans win
the group.
Gomez came to the
European championship on
the back of a stellar season
after scoring 41 goals for
Bayern, but has been much
maligned. | |
