TEN graduates received their
diplomas at the first graduation
ceremony under the
newly named Awsaj Academy.
The academy was formerly
called the Learning Center.
The ceremony took place in
Awsaj Academy´s new building
in Qatar Foundation
recently. It was attended by
parents, staff members and
several distinguish guests
including Fahad al Subaiey,
chair of the board of governors
of Awsaj Academy;
Abdul Rahman al Suwaidy,
CEO of Oryx GTL; Dr Saif Ali
Al-Hajari, along with other
Awsaj Academy board members
and guests.
The pre-ceremony event
featured several musicians
from Qatar Music Academy.
The audience was mesmerised
by the musicians´

QATAR Faculty of Islamic
Studies (QFIS) graduated its
third class of 28 seniors in a
memorable convocation at
the Qatar National Convention
Centre on Monday.
The event was attended by
Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi,
chairman of the International
Union for Muslim Scholars,
as well as members of diplomatic
corps and dignitaries.
The guest of honour and
keynote speaker at the ceremony
was Minister of
Education and Higher
Education and the Secretary-
General of the Supreme
Educational Council HE Saad
bin Ibrahim al Mahmoud.
