| | Qatar Charity gives QR400,000
incentive to contest winners |
QATAR Charity (QC) on
Sunday gave QR400,000
incentive awards to the winners
of the competitions to
promote moral values among
high school students in the
country.
Twenty-five independent
schools participated in the
competitions titled ´I Snafe´
and ´the gift of Wind´ for boys
and girls respectively.
´Snafe´ is an Arabic word
used to praise and eulogise a
trustworthy and reliable
youth.
The winners were
announced at a ceremony
attended by officials from the
Ministry of Social Affairs, the
Supreme Education Council,
Qatar Charity, as well as officials
of other charity organisations
in Qatar. The competition
included art exhibition,
drama, YouTube film and

ceremony for its students

The event served as a reflection
of the years the students
spent under the Primary
Years Programme (PYP) of

QATAR Tourism authority
(QTA) on Monday
announced its support for
renowned Canada-based
entertainment company,
Cirque du Soleil to stage its
20- year-old signature production,
Saltimbanco in
Doha.
The action packed performance
is scheduled to run
from July 4-7 at the Aspire
Dome. The QTA is working
with SDI Marketing to bring
the extravaganza to Qatar.
The family oriented show
will feature acts like balancing,
jumping and spinning
during the Chinese poles or
the Russian swing to the
gravity-defying Bungees and
trapeze, juggling and acrobatic
bicycle and unique
clowns. It will also feature
spectacular costumes, amazing
lighting, humour and
enchanting music and magic.
