Oxy Qatar donates QR364,000 to QSRSN

DOHA OCCIDENTAL Petroleum of Qatar Ltd (Oxy Qatar) recently presented a check of QR364,000 to Executive Manager of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) Ameer al Mulla as part of its ongoing engagement with the community.

Chairman of QSRSN Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al Thani expressed his appreciation to Oxy Qatar for its continuing support to the society’s activities in serving people with special needs.

He said, “We are thankful to Oxy Qatar for its generous contributions and support.

We also look forward to future cooperation to implement the society’s programmes and activities. Oxy Qatar’s recent contribution will be used to purchase medical equipment and devices, pay for educational services for registered cases of motor, aural, vision-impaired and multi-handicaps, and support the society’s humanitarian programmes.” President and General Manager of Oxy Qatar Timothy Borgerding said: “We are committed to continuing Oxy’s relationship with the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs and promoting positive outcomes. The society’s achievements could not be accomplished without all of the caring people’s involvement, especially Sheikh Thani.” On his part, Deputy General Manager of Oxy Qatar Ahmed Abdulqader al Ahmed said, “It is gratifying to support worthy causes that make a difference in people’s lives and our partnership with the Qatar Society for Special Needs is an excellent example.”
