The project which seeks to
evaluate ´Membrane Distillation
of desalination through
low grade waste heat´ is the
first field testing project of its
kind in the Middle East and
arguably in the world for its
unique application of MD
technology.
The Qatar Electricity and
Water Company supports
the project by providing
access to its facilities for
field testing. The Kahramaa,
which is another partner to
the project, will advise on
the introduction of new
water desalination technologies

48 Japan-related books to
Qatar National Library on

Japan´s Ambassador to
Qatar HE Kenjiro Monji
presented the books to
Director of the Department
of Public Libraries Abdulla
Nasser al Ansari.
The Japanese embassy
began handing over Japanrelated
books donated by the
Japan Foundation to Qatar
National Library in 1987
under its annual library support
programme, which continued
till 2004.
Since that time, the
embassy has donated 843
books to Qatar National
Library. The vast collection of
books on Japan at the
National Library has become
a useful resource ...

Eighty students received
high school certificates after
completing their International
Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme.
A large number of people
