QP participates in Petrotech 2012

DOHA QATAR Petroleum participated in the 8th Middle East Refining and Petrochemicals Conference & Exhibition (Petrotech 2012), which was held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre recently.
The event was held under the patronage of Prime Minister of Bahrain Prince Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa.
It was inaugurated by Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla al Khalifa who was accompanied by Dr Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, minister of energy and chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) of Bahrain.
Sheikh al Khalifa visited the QP stand, where he was received by Qatar’s Ambassador to Bahrain HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer al Thani, CEO of Qatar Petrochemical Company Dr Mohammed Yousef al Mulla, Assistant Manager for Downstream Business Development and Evaluation (Petrochemical) at QP Hussain Mohammed al Muftah and other members of the QP delegation, who presented him with a gift.
Petrotech 2012 was held under the theme ‘Creating Value: Technology, Investment & People’.
Organized by Arabian Exhibition Management in cooperation with specialised parties and in coordination with NOGA, the event attracted the participation of more than 100 companies from over 20 countries.
This year, a programme was held to give engineering students from all over the GCC the opportunity to attend the conference, thus enabling them to interact with industry experts and to increase their knowledge in their field of study. In line with this, QP sponsored the participation of 10 students from Qatar University at Petrotech 2012.
QP also had a strong presence as a major exhibitor at Petrotech 2012. Its stand attracted the interest of many delegations, visitors and students, enabling the corporation to highlight its extensive activities and operations.
Over 200 delegates, industry professionals and students visited the QP stand on the first day of the event, enquiring about QP’s latest projects and the available job opportunities in the corporation.
