drawing, elocution contests | OVER 140 students from
eight Indian schools took part
in a two-day inter-school
drawing and elocution contests
organised by the Indian
Friends´ Circle-Qatar (IFC)
recently.
The competitions, held
under the topic ´Impact of
Social Media Networking on
Our Society´ were held at
Shantiniketan Indian School
and Ideal Indian School
respectively.
The IFC is an Islamic social
organisation promoting
awareness about Islam
among Urdu speaking Indian
Muslims in Qatar.
The events were designed
to promote healthy competition
among children within
particular age groups.
The participants, girls and
boys, were divided into three

Resource Network (iEARN)
open house on Saturday at
the Qatar Foundation
Student Centre.
iEARN Open House 2012
will see 350 students and 50
teachers representing 19
schools showcasing 27 projects,
including new projects
Origami, Beauty of the Beasts,
Tub Gardens and Finding
Solutions to Hunger.
The world´s largest K-12 educational
network, iEARN is a
non-profit organisation made
up of over 30,000 schools and
youth organisations in more
than 130 countries.

20 Qataris, in three disciplines
of Class 2011-2012
graduated from the Stenden
University Qatar at a colourful
ceremony on Wednesday.
The event was graced by the
university´s chairman. Stenden
Qatar, which was established
in 2000, has already produced
250 graduates, excluding the
present group of graduates.
