operations held its ´Annual
Recognition Ceremony´ at the
Al Ghazal Club recently.
The main objective of the
event was to honour its managers
and employees who
have distinguished themselves
for their outstanding
performance in 2011.
During the event, Mubarak
Awaida al Hajri, operations
manager at offshore fields,
expressed his gratitude for
the support of Minister of
Energy and Industry, and
Chairman and Managing
Director of QP HE
Dr Mohammad bin Saleh al
Sada, as well as for the guidance

School put up brilliant performances
in the Secondary
School (class X) Examination
2012 conducted by the CBSE,
Delhi, India.
The examination was based
on the Continuous and
Comprehensive Evaluation
(CCE) system introduced by the
board some years ago. The system
comprises of Formative
Assessments (FA´s) and
Summative Assessments (SA´s).
MES is the only Indian
School in the region with highest
number of students sitting
for the test and attaining A1,
Cumulative Grade Points
(CGPA 10), the highest grade in
the examination.
This was the 31st batch of
students from MES appearing
for the Class X examination.

Qatar (TAMUQ) hosted its
third electrical, mechanical,
petroleum and chemical summer
programme (EMPC programme)
last month.
Fifty grade 11 Qatari students
participated in the programme,
which familiarised
them with engineering and
educational programmes available
at TAMUQ. Programme
activities and projects
included solving real-life engineering
challenges and participating
in practice university
entrance examinations.
