PARTICIPANTS at the Doha Debates on Monday expressed opposition to state censorship of arts in the Middle East region. The rare display of frustration with the practice surfaced in a lively session as participants discussed a range of issues, including the frequent cuts made in foreign films shown in the region and the blacking out of images in Western magazines. A WORKSHOP on enforcing the recommendations of the International Conference to protect journalists in dangerous situations was held on the third day of the Doha Forum for Enriching the Middle East´s Economic Future, on Tuesday.
