American couturier Charles
James presented his first
children´s-wear line to a group of editors
that included Diana Vreeland. With a
sense of camp that preceded Marc
Jacobs by 50 years, James had ladies in
nurses´ uniforms bring out the tiny garments.
Leading the parade, held by a nurse
and dressed in a pale blue cape, was
