Qatar’s Polish community celebrates national day

SANTHOSH CHANDRAN

DOHA THE Polish community in Qatar celebrated their country’s national day on Thursday.

Minister of Public Health HE Abdullah bin Khalid al Qahtani was the chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador of Poland to Qatar HE Robert Rostek said that Poland has close bilateral ties with Qatar.

“Several high-level visits over the years between the two countries have contributed a lot in strengthening business, cultural and trade relations.

“The opportunities are still open and there are lots of them to explore,” the ambassador said.

He also said that strong business and trade relations would be beneficial to the economies of both countries.

Qahtani and Rostek jointly cut a cake to mark the occasion.

The function was attended by envoys of different countries, diplomats and government officials.
